Using slice2freeze

Hi,

The slice2freeze tool needs some parameters

1 Option // this means –output –dir or something like that
2. file-base //
3. slice files // file ending with .ice

What is the file base?

thx

That's the base name of the generated files. For example, if you use "foo", then you get two files "foo.h" and "foo.cpp".

Cheers,
Marc

Enzo,

In an email you mentioned your interest in using the Freeze evictor, and referred to page 615 in the manual which instructs you to use slice2freeze. This is an error in the manual: there is no need to use slice2freeze with the evictor. We're sorry for the confusion, and we'll fix this in the manual.

Take care,
- Mark
