Vs 2005

Hello,
VS 2005 has been released this November. So I have a question: do you plan to support it in Ice and Ice-E?

Thanks.

Yes, VS 2005 will be supported, probably with the next release. We simply didn't have enough time to add official support for VS 2005 before the 3.0 release. Note though that you can compile Ice for C++ with VS 2005, provided that you compile the third-party dependencies from source with VS 2005.

Cheers,

Michi.

Thanks, Michi. What about Ice Embedded and VS 2005? VC++ 2005 is much more convenient than EVC.

I haven't tried yet whether Ice-E will compile with VS 2005 yet. I wouldn't expect any major problems though. Probably no harder than for Ice.

Cheers,

Michi.

Maybe the posting in thread
IceE1.0.0 on Visual C++ 2005
from 2.12.2005 is interesting for you.

Cheers,

Georg
