Integration of functional/concurrent processes languages?
I have seen quite some move in enterprise applications to integrate academic calculus (Milner/Hoare) languages with object oriented ones. Example are F#, Nermele into the .Net (Phyton i guess is some trial as well). Using grown up concurrent languages in the EAI would interest me for the future. Putting validation/specification into the implementation process is something everbody is looking for.
To put it short: Integrating Erlang into the Ice Middleware seems cool, right? erlang:icereceive(stuff, to, get calculated, by a c++ stub) ->... Have you had any ideas on this topic? Dont know, maybe its just a stupid idea. |

At present, we have no plan to support Erlang. There are lots of interesting programming languages, but since adding a new language mapping requires quite some work, it very much depends on commercial demand.
