ZeroC, Inc. is pleased to announce the availability of the Internet Communications Engine (Ice), version 1.3.0, and the Ice for PHP (IcePHP) extension, version 1.0.2.

Changes in Ice since version 1.2.0 include:

  • A new set of tools, known collectively as FreezeScript, for inspecting and migrating Freeze databases.
  • Windows support for the IcePack and Glacier services.
  • New platform support for Windows 9x/ME, HP-UX and MacOS X.
  • Numerous other improvements and bug fixes.

Only minor changes were made in IcePHP since version 1.0.1 and primarily involve compatibility with the latest releases of Ice and PHP.
