BAE Systems Australia is developing a real time simulation to train Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) crew on the operation of the AP-3C aircraft Electronic Surveillance Measures (ESM) equipment. The simulation (aka SW-SIM CSCI) is a distributed application, hosted on multiple Linux and Windows operating systems. SW-SIM is deployed in three separate facilities, viz the Operational Mission Simulator, Part Task Trainer 10 Squadron and Part Task Trainer 292 Squadron. The Ice software is used to provide lifecycle control of the distributed applications, and information distribution between the distributed applications. |
